2019 Etude Grace Benoist Ranch Carneros Pinot Noir
We’ve had a few readers bring this bottle to our attention, and it’s a Costco Pinot that we have yet to review for the site.
We had the chance to visit Etude winery several years ago and taste many of the different Pinots they produce; enjoyed them very much so it’s nice to see this one hit Costco shelves.
And they brought it in at a great price considering retail is around $50, online it’s selling for $40-45, and at Costco its $29.99.
If you’re a Pinot Noir fan, Etude is a brand you should try. These wines are a common sight on a lot of restaurant wine lists, and we’ve found them to offer a nice, easy drinking and interesting wine at a fair price.
That’s exactly how we felt about this one once we got into it. The wine pours a pale to medium ruby in the glass with floral and berry fruit aromas. Nice mouthfeel, medium bodied with strawberry, raspberry, cherry cola; good spice element, touch of clove and pleasant acidity into a lasting finish.
There’s a lot to like here for Pinot fans and again, this is a brand to commit to memory, because you will likely seem them again. Hopefully Costco keeps this amazing price, and we will add to our Recommended wine list.
