2024 Costco Wine Advent-ure Calendar

Many of you have been wondering the same thing we have: where is the Costco wine advent calendar for 2024?

For the past three years, we found it in stores in September. There were a few rumblings online about it for 2024, but not a lot of solid information or spottings in the wild.

We finally reached out the distributor and confirmed the advent calendar is only available in select regions this year. Those regions are: Northeast, Texas, Pacific Northwest and Southwest.

The Atlanta area, where we shop, was not included so the distributor was gracious enough to send us a box for us to check out for the site.

The first thing you notice is that the box this year is called Wine Advent-ure which was the name in most of the prior years except for 2023 when it was known as “Around the World in 24 Wines.”

We are glad to see it go back to the original name, as well as the holiday packaging that seems fitting for a themed wine buy like this.

Many of the details for the calendar are the same as prior years. Most importantly perhaps is that the price is staying the same at $99.99.

The format is also familiar. Each box contains 24 half size (375ml) bottles. When you break it down, that comes out to about $4 per half bottle.

The variety of wines from around the world is always a bit different each year, and we found several new additions for 2024.

There’s usually red, white and rose wines. Sometimes a bubbly as we saw this year with the addition of a French brut rose.

Also new this year was a Japanese Sake, which is kind of a fun change, as well as a Calimocho. That one caught us really off guard.

Calimocho is a drink that is popular in Spain made by mixing red wine and cola; similar in some ways to the approach for making Sangria.

And one more new bottle pictured above is the organic DOCG Chianti in the basket. Again, kind of a fun new addition.

This year we have many different regions represented including Hungary, Portugal, Chile, Bulgaria and South Africa. Along many of the usual suspects (US, France, Spain).

The Wine Advent-ure website does a great job of highlighting the wines and regions included in the calendar.

On that site you will see labels for each wine, and a brief description and history of the region along with what to expect from the wine.

Remember you can use the new Costco mobile app to search for products and wine in your local warehouse. Searching by item number sometimes is the best.

That’ll help you locate this advent calendar and you better do it fast since Dec 1 is right around the corner. The distributor shared that many of the boxes are sold through already, but it’s worth a shot.

Note there is a change to the Costco item number. In the past the item number for the advent calendar has been: 1357643. We are told the number is now: 1755071
